  • Company Introduction

    Harim Co., Ltd., a poultry company, was started in Hwangdeung, Iksan, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea in 1978.
    Harim Co., Ltd. opened the era of quality certification for livestock products for the first time in Korea and produced processed meat products such as packaged meat and nuggets. Harim pioneered the premium chicken market such as Harim Nature’s Sensation, an antibiotic-free and animal welfare brand, and Fresh-Up, a brand that maximizes freshness. In 1986 the name was changed to Harim Foods Co., Ltd. when the company became a vertically integrated system that connects farms, plants, and markets. This enhanced the global competitiveness of the Korean poultry industry.

A newly built plant in Iksan is creating a new market by producing more variety of chicken products such as convenience food and seasoned meat.

Harim exported Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken), a Korean traditional food, to the United States for the first time in 2014. Harim will continue to maintain the Win-Win Management strategy to mutually grow with its producers and business partners. Harim pursues world-class quality and productivity and aims to become the one of world's top 10 poultry food companies by 2030.

  • 01 Compliance Management

    Harim is contributing to the society by making the best tasting and quality chicken products and is striving for the prosperity and development of the community through sound business management. Harim introduced ethical management in 2008 and has been contributing to the promotion of human health and happiness based on the organizational culture. In 2017, Harim introduced the Fair-Trade Compliance Program to establish a corporate culture that meets global standards. Harim’s Compliance Program promotes employees’ compliance awareness by presenting specific standards of conduct that is in line with the law. This program also helps Harim to practice transparent and fair corporate management, for example, preventing violations of regulations and workplace harassment towards subordinates.

  • 02 Win-Win Management

    Harim is practicing Win-Win Management that allows mutual growth with its producers, distributors, partners, and customers. Harim established the Producers Council in 2005 for the first time in the industry to facilitate coexisting with livestock producers. In fact, Harim started a project aiming to achieve 100 million KRW in producer household income by 2010 from 50 million KRW in 2005, and the project resulted in achieving 128 million KRW which encouraged the producers. In 2013, Harim started the “Law of 1000” project, to increase the producer household income by 10 million KRW each year, and to provide more security to more than 650 producers contracted with Harim. Harim is providing various support to distributors and partners through mutual agreements. Harim supports businesses at low-interest rates by creating a Win-Win Fund for no hassle financing between distributors and partners. Harim is expanding the Win-Win management strategy by providing training and recruitment support for professional manpower.

  • 03 Sharing Management

    Harim pursues a life of systematic and continuous social contribution activities. Harim is practicing social responsibility management through three major projects, such as 'Educational Donation to Nurture Local Talents', 'Preservation of Cultural Properties and Ecosystems', and 'Full Material and Emotional Support Program'. Educational Donation to Nurture Local Talents project includes books delivered to elementary school students, scholarship support, and employees’ volunteer time. For the Preservation of Cultural Properties and Ecosystems project, Harim operates the 피오 Volunteer Corps, cleans up local cultural properties, and feeds endangered birds. The Full Material and Emotional Support project carries out various social contribution activities such as Harim Arts Award and various supports for Rice of Love, Happiness Sharing Market and local children's centers. In particular, Harim is expanding the culture of sharing by creating new jobs through the new operations of Jeongeup Processing Plant in 2012 and the remodeled Iksan Processing Plant completed in 2019.
